Dave KingBorn in the UK and raised variously in Northern India, Scotland and Asia, Dave had the very best foundation for a life of adventure that in now over 50 years has taken him across deserts in Afghanistan to the tops 8000m peaks in the Himalayas.

Dave discovered a passion for Sleddogs whilst mountaineering in Alaska that eventually led to over 25 years living in Alaska living the dream of traveling Alaska`s vast wilderness by dog team during Winter and guiding on wild Arctic river systems in summer.

Now living in Swedish Lappland, Dave now focuses on developing the PolarQuest Sleddog School in addition to assisting partner Annette in their Veterinary clinic and planning new adventures wherever it’s cold and wild.

Dave King’s Column “Equipment Discussion & Review” Discusses various equipment, repairs, upgrades, and tips/suggestions. Cherry picking a range of gear that lends itself to our sport on Mushing and develop a regular column on those, with supporting images, pro/cons, availability/cost etc, etc.
